Want to help spread the word about ACC and our amazing animals? Become an Outreach Volunteer!

Do you like talking to the public? Do you love our animals and want to get as many people involved in our mission as possible? Then become an Outreach Volunteer, and attend our mobile adoption and tabling events to help educate the community about ACC and our amazing animals.

At events, outreach volunteers actively engage as many people as possible in conversation to inform them about our mission, shelter locations, animals, and of course our wonderful volunteer and foster programs.  Outreach volunteers work to recruit more volunteers, fosters and adopters and gather as much contact information as possible.  ACC staff then adds all new contacts to our email list, so that everyone will receive our ACC newsletter going forward. Our volunteer and foster teams also follow up to sign up as many people as possible into those programs.
 
We have outreach events taking place every weekend, so we really need more outreach volunteers to help. If you’re interested in becoming an outreach volunteer, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Faith Kiely at fkiely@nycacc.org.  Thank you so much for your help!
