On May 9, animal lovers gathered to support Animal Care & Control of NYC (AC&C) at the National Arts Club. AC&C’s 7th Annual Spring Fling was co-chaired by Kevin de l’Aigle, AC&C adopter, volunteer, donor, and head of corporate social responsibility at  A|X Armani Exchange, and Emmy® Award-winning stylist and best-selling author David Zyla.

The benefit—sponsored by A|X Armani Exchange, FENWICK KEATS Real Estate, MBL Benefits Consulting, and Jackson Lewis—featured cocktails by Belvedere Vodka, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and silent and live auctions led by Christie’s auctioneer Toby Usnik. Bianca del Rio, winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, was in attendance. Wonderful cats and dogs available for adoption from AC&C were outside the Club, arriving in AC&C’s new Mobile Adoption Center.

Net proceeds from the event are being directed to AC&C’s Animal Care Fund to purchase food, microchips, medical supplies, blankets, toys and many other items directly benefiting the animals in AC&C’s care.

"We took in more than 18,000 cats and more than 10,000 dogs in 2013,” said AC&C Executive Director Risa Weinstock. “We need community support to help homeless animals get the care they deserve, and we’re grateful to our donors for their generosity."
