New Mobile Adoption Center Planned for the Bronx! August, 2014
Senator Klein made the announcement on August 17 at the Riverdale Children’s Musical Festival in Seton Park. Cats and dogs were available for adoption on the premises, via AC&C’s existing Mobile Adoption Center, which was generously funded by the ASPCA and FENWICK KEATS Real Estate.
“The new Mobile Adoption Center will enable AC&C to have a greater presence in the Bronx, and enhance our ability to find loving homes for our wonderful cats and dogs,” said Risa Weinstock, executive director of AC&C. “All of us at AC&C are grateful to Senator Klein for his support and his clear commitment to NYC animals.” AC&C currently has a receiving center in the Bronx, which does not accommodate adoptions. Animals can be surrendered at the Bronx location, but they are then transferred to AC&C Care Centers. The new Mobile Adoption Center (or "MAC"), dedicated solely to the Bronx, will travel throughout the borough.
