Duke came into Manhattan ACC as an owner surrender due to housing issues this September. While Duke had generally good owner notes (with the exception of some guarding issues) he did not acclimate well at all in the care center. Duke only allowed handling by certain staff and would growl and lunge at strangers. Duke's behavior continued to deteriorate and he put on our emergency placement list in October. Shortly after, Duke was placed with Pound Hounds ResQ and entered a wonderful foster home. After less than a month in his foster home, his foster family decided they couldn’t live without him; they finalized their adoption a few days ago and he now lives with a 'built in bro!'
Thank you to Pound Hounds ResQ and Duke's amazing new family!
