 ACC's Innovation Rewarded
In May, ACC CEO Risa Weinstock and Director of Marketing & Communications Katy Hansen presented at the Petco Foundation Innovation Showdown in San Diego as if they were on an episode of Shark Tank - and ACC was subsequently awarded a $100,000 grant! The judges--Shark Tank’s Daymond John, Cat Daddy Jackson Galaxy and Petco Foundation Executive Director Susanne Kogut--recognized the value and potential of the "Digital Shelter" innovation. ACC's very own Aleah Simpson (second from left), had the honor of being a panelist at the Humane Society of the United States Animal Care Expo, held in Fort Lauderdale in May.  Happy Tail: Rocky
In May, we held a large dog adoption promotion and waived the adoption fee for dogs over 40 pounds. Rocky, a long-timer at our Brooklyn Care Center, was featured in the flyer for the promotion and helped inspire others to "Go Big and Go Home!" We're happy to report he's doing very well. See more >>
