Clear the Shelters collageAdoptions Abound on Clear the Shelters Day
Nearly 150 animals were adopted on August 15 during the Clear the Shelters event hosted by ACC with WNBC 4 New York and Telemundo 47! The Clear the Shelters effort, part of a national initiative spearheaded by the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations division of NBCUniversal, pairs local television stations with animal shelters across the country to find new homes for homeless pets. Learn more »

Marley fka Kikos adoptedHappy Tail: Marley
Marley, formerly known as Kikos, was adopted last month by Julie Anne, who flew across the country to meet her and take her home. "She has the perfect disposition with an hour of exercise," Julie Anne writes. "Probably a good formula for people, too. ;)" See more photos »

"The first thing you might notice about Scuba is that's she's gorgeous-- she knows it, too," writes an ACC volunteer. "Scuba's a big, cuddly girl who loves to play with feather toys and isn't afraid to pat you for a bit of attention!
