After 600+ days, Miss Missy is HOME!

Miss Missy waited over 600 days, the longest stay in ACC history, before finally finding her person. Her story is the heart of our mission and a reminder of why we never stop advocating for our Boroughbreds.

Since the guinea pig sales ban VFAR championed with Deputy Speaker Diana Ayala became law in 2023, ACC has seen a 69% drop in guinea pig intakes!

That impact is HUGE:

💜 fewer animals entering an already overburdened shelter system
💜 more guinea pigs finding loving homes through adoption
💜 staff and volunteers able to focus on lifesaving work, not preventable surrenders
💜 an end to NYC's support of cruel guinea pig mills
