| Welcome to our new series, A Day in the Life, where we highlight different roles of the ACC team.
Every day, our medical team shows up for NYC’s most vulnerable animals. From intake exams to life-saving surgeries, they do it all with compassion, skill, and love. No matter who walks (or hops!) through our doors, they’re in good hands.
Are you interested in a career in animal welfare? Check out our open positions at nycacc.org/careers. |
| Happy Vet Tech Appreciation Week!
Vet techs are the backbone of our medical team, providing care, assisting in surgeries, and comforting animals when they need it most. It takes years of training, including a two-year veterinary technology program and a national exam, to become licensed. We’re so grateful for their skill and compassion every day. |
If you’re handing out candy to trick-or-treaters, why not help ACC Boroughbreds find homes at the same time? | We’ve created a PDF with pictures of pets who have been waiting a while to find their forever homes. Just download, cut the cards out, and tape them to the candy you’ll be handing out. This is a fun activity for kids and an easy way to help the pets in our care! |
