| 105 dogs were found living in heartbreaking conditions in a Brooklyn home. Thanks to the tireless work of ACC staff and our dedicated rescue partners, all have now gone to loving homes and safe havens.
Huge thanks to our partners who made this possible: CARE of DC (37) & Hudson Valley Animal Rescue (37), Posh Pets Rescue (29), Best Friends Animal Society (9), NYC Second Chance Rescue (6), Sean Casey Animal Rescue (5), Bobbi And The Strays (5), Rescue City (5), Korean K9 Rescue (3, + grooming help), Muddy Paws Rescue (5), and Special Needs Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation (1).
Our shelters are still over capacity. Please visit Queens, Manhattan, or Staten Island ACC, or browse adoptable pets anytime at nycacc.app. |

| BEAT THE HEAT!
When it's very hot, air conditioning will help keep you and your pets safe. If you don't have air conditioning, find a cool place to visit nearby, like a friend’s place or an NYC cooling center. Petco is partnering with NYC to offer cooling locations for New Yorkers with pets!
For more info, visit finder.nyc.gov/coolingcenters/locations and sort by Pet Friendly! Please call ahead before visiting. Hours and policies vary by location. |
