ACC and ASPCA rescued 40+ Belgian Malinois from a single NYC apartment, where they had been living in extreme confinement and neglect. Ranging from puppies to adults, many were found hidden in closets and severely undersocialized. This case is a stark reminder that you don’t need to leave the confines of New York City to find animals in urgent need of help.

Remember the little boroughbred who was rescued from the East River? Her name is Hudson—and now she’s officially home! This past weekend, Officer Desalvo from the NYPD Special Ops Harbor Unit, who helped pull her from the water six weeks ago, adopted her. Every dog has its day, and Hudson’s finally came—surrounded by love and the family of one of her original heroes.
