The past few months at ACC have been extremely challenging, with kennels constantly full as new dogs and litters of puppies arrive daily. In the first 19 days of June alone, over 800 animals have come in, including 517 cats, 253 dogs, and other small animals. We urgently need your help this summer through adoption, fostering, helping lost pets get home, or donating.

Adopt: We have hundreds of pets that are available for adoption today. Adoption fees start at $25 and include vaccinations, microchips and spay/neuter surgeries. Click here to view all available animals.

Foster: Taking a pet or a litter of kittens into your home temporarily will help us save lives by opening up new kennels for incoming pets. Click here for more info and to sign up for upcoming orientations.

Help Lost Pets Get Back Home: If you find a stray pet, help them get back home by walking through the neighborhood, posting their photo to Petco Love Lost, and taking steps to get them back to their families before bringing them to the shelter. Click here to learn about how to help lost pets get back home.

Donate: All of these pets need supportive care through sheltering, staffing, medicine, and so much more. Your donations go straight toward the care of the hundreds of pets that have come to our shelter in the past 19 days. Click here to donate.

BEAT THE HEAT!

When it's very hot, air conditioning will help keep you and your pets safe. If you don't have air conditioning, find a cool place to visit nearby, like a friend’s place or an NYC cooling center. Petco is partnering with NYC to offer cooling locations for New Yorkers with pets!
