Looking to adopt? Here are our tips to help you have a successful adoption during Clear The Shelters!

To help ensure a smooth process, please complete an adoption application in advance: Cat Application | Dog Application | S mall Animal (Rabbit & Guinea Pig) Application.

Adopters must be 18 years of age or older. We require a government or school-issued photo ID and proof of address, such as a utility bill, rental agreement, pay stub, or bank statement.

Available animals can be viewed in advance at nycacc.app!

Please note: Small dogs and puppies WILL NOT be available for adoption. Kittens will be available for a $125 adoption fee.

Please bring a fully charged phone. Our adoption application and contract signing will take place on your phone.

Due to capacity limits in the shelter, we are only allowing 2-3 parties of people in at a time.

*Waived adoption fees DO NOT include the $8.50 - $34 NYC dog licensing fee. We cannot make change on-site, so please bring the exact change or leave the difference as a donation.
